We are a New Zealand organisation bought about by what some saw as the needs of Transsexuals to be recognised, not just absorbed into a wider community and lose our identity.

These are our streets too.

We work mainly through
Facebooks
'Transsexuals of New Zealand'.

This is the main point of contact as this sites email is checked infrequently. The contact form is supposed to bcc to the secretaries account but seems to be erratic.

We tried to formalise the group but decided, with 161 members (Nov, 2013) on FB, most were happy there. We have members there who are from Pacific Islands, Maori heritage, as well as other ethnicities and we are impressed with the growth in numbers.

If you wish to apply to join the FB group, especially if you have an anonymous type handle and little in your profile, please watch your FB 'other' inbox for a response. Sending a PM to either Racheal McGonigal or Roxanne Henare, telling a little about yourself is also helpful.

The group is an open group so all can be seen by anyone. Only members can post. We do check applicants to join and try to weed out the trolls and others. We try to keep it to Transsexuals and their supporters, mainly from NZ.

Posting something about you when accepted is always appreciated by members and you will find a warm welcome.
